The first session of the consultation framework for the YOUGA gold mine, under BMC Soleil Resources, was held in ZABRE on March 12, 2025.

This event provided an opportunity to bring together stakeholders, review the progress of the mine's resumption, and discuss several issues related to the operation of the Youga mine.

The mine's head recalled the challenging circumstances surrounding Soleil Resources' acquisition of the mine.

Despite these challenges, he affirmed the company's commitment to supporting the local population, as evidenced by the donation of 16 boreholes to 16 villages. The official borehole handover ceremony took place just before the consultation framework session.
