The second session of the provincial consultation framework was held on December 19, 2025, in Boulgou Province, under the theme:

“Adopting the concept of local content and investment opportunities in the mining sector.”

Chaired by the High Commissioner of the province, the meeting brought together the General Manager of the Youga mine, representatives from the Ministry of Mines, ONASSIM (National Office for the Sanitation of Mining Industries), as well as residents of the Zabre community and traditional chiefs.

Discussions focused on key points:

• The conceptual approach to local content and the legislative and regulatory framework, presented by representatives of the Ministry;
• The implementation of local content at the Youga gold mine and investment opportunities in the mining sector, presented by the General Manager;
• The mission of securing mining sites, explained by representatives of ONASSIM.

Following the discussions, the community expressed its gratitude for this initiative and congratulated the stakeholders on the projects announced for 2026, aimed at strengthening the integration of local populations into mining activities and promoting inclusive and sustainable development.

This momentum marks an important step towards greater ownership of local content and the creation of genuine economic opportunities for the region.
